Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure substrate is clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, and old, flaking paint. Sand with fine-grit abrasive. Use a recommended Davies® automotive primer before applying DV-750.

Application Methods:

Spray application only (conventional or HVLP spray gun)

Mixing Ratio:

Use Davies® Lacquer Thinner at a ratio of 2:1 (2 parts lacquer to 1 part thinner) or as needed for desired spray consistency.

Drying Time:

• Dust-Free: 10–15 minutes
• Touch Dry: 20–30 minutes
• Recoat: After 1–2 hours
• Buffing/Polishing: After 24 hours or full cure

Coverage:

8–10 square meters per liter per coat (depending on surface and method)

Finish:

High Gloss (available in clear and pre-tinted colors)

Color Availability:

Clear and various automotive solid shades (custom tinting available)

Topcoat Compatibility:

May be used with Davies® Speedglo™ Clear Coat for enhanced gloss and protection. Compatible with nitrocellulose-based primers and sealers.

• Flammable – keep away from heat and open flames
• Use only in a well-ventilated area or with proper PPE and spray booth
• Avoid inhalation of vapors and contact with skin
• Clean tools with Davies® Lacquer Thinner immediately after use
• Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space
